JustGiving is the world’s social platform for giving, connecting causes with people who care.

Each year, they celebrate the incredible things people do for the causes they care about with an annual awards ceremony, the JustGiving Awards. The awards, voted for by the public are awarded at a glittering ceremony in London, allowing them to recognise some of their most loyal users, and celebrate the most inspirational examples of fundraising on the platform.

To aid the event, The Distillery London produced a series of films for each of the nominees, highlighting their cause, story and included user generated content (from the finalists themselves) which gave the films a personal touch. The result was an unique and often emotional story of each nominee.

The work was featured in The Guardian with a series of micro-documentaries entitled ‘Meet the Crowdfunders’ with 346 combined shares on social media!

Crowdfunding Week - Tracey's story

"At the time when you lose somebody, you get a lot of support, but as years go on, that disappears. I just think it's important to remember that there are mothers who are still mothers, but they're often forgotten."Tracey used JustGiving Crowdfunding to buy bouquets of flowers for bereaved mothers on Mother’s Day. Having lost her own son to youth violence, Tracey formed JAGS Foundation to provide opportunities for young people and support bereaved families.
